Advocacy Speech

Thesis: I am aiming to end the stigma of mental illnesses by promoting the cause in schools to show how people are affected by hurtful assumptions. 

Potential counterarguments: 

1. That it is not a wide spread problem that needs time and effort put into
2. Everyone’s situation is different and there is danger in speaking for people with mental illnesses as a whole 

Goals:

1. Being more confident in my tone and inflection to create ethos. 
2. Putting more emphasis on points that are more important, to emphasize the key points
